What do we do to develop a sense of community in Webheads?

Webheads applies these principles to a minimal syllabus in a way that promotes community formation, using these techniques:

a portal site
pictures and stories on the portal site
opportunities to interact in a variety of modalities i.e. synch/asynch, via email, live online, participation in discussion forums, using text/voice/webcam
keeping records and archives of events
allowing multiple participants to contribute to and build on the body of knowledge
encouraging experimentation (even if this led to 'chaos navigation' )
remaining informal
